About

Engineer, cofounder, and community facilitator

I'm Levin Kipkemboi, a full-stack product engineer based in Nairobi. I'm a cofounder at BeironLabs, I ship my own SaaS, and I volunteer as a facilitator at Ushauri Hub.

My work sits at the intersection of product and engineering. I care about what users need, how businesses create value, and how systems stay maintainable as they grow. That means thoughtful architecture, clear communication, and interfaces that feel intentional.

At BeironLabs, I help run a software agency that builds reliable products for businesses. Alongside that, I've worked on multitenant platforms, property management systems, M-Pesa integrations, and real-time features, while shipping SaaS products like Mtrack and Content Summariser.

Outside client and product work, I volunteer as a facilitator at Ushauri Hub, supporting mentorship for young professionals. If you're hiring, need something built, or want to explore a product I've made, let's talk.

Currently open to

  • Full-time roles

Product engineering on teams that value ownership, clarity, and quality.

  • SaaS products

How I work

  • Product thinking first

I start with the problem, the user, and the business outcome - then choose the simplest architecture that can grow with the product.

  • Maintainable by default

Readable code, clear boundaries, and intentional abstractions. Software should still make sense six months later.

  • Attention to detail

Spacing, performance, edge cases, and copy matter. Small details compound into trust and polish.

  • Clear communication

I explain trade-offs early, share progress often, and keep stakeholders aligned without jargon for jargon's sake.

  • Long-term mindset

I build for the next release and the next year - avoiding shortcuts that create expensive rewrites later.

  • Performance and UX

Fast interfaces and thoughtful flows are part of the product, not an afterthought bolted on at the end.
